Happy Star Wars Day!
The ActivityBot 360° is our most capable robot of all with a Propeller 1 (P8X32A-Q44) Multicore Microcontroller on a Propeller Activity Board WX. Eight processors combined with the easy BlocklyProp coding environment make all kinds of interesting applications possible, like this one.
This Cantina Band robot was quite easy to build. It’s a standard Activity Bot 360° with a servo mounted on the breadboard. That’s a hot glue gun stick mounted on the servo horn with a WS2812 LED glued to the bottom of it. The LED transmits the color through the hot glue stick like a light saber beautifully! The sound is Cantina Band music formatted for a *.wav file format, saved to an SD card on the Propeller Activity Board WX and played through the board’s audio amplifier, connected to our small hamburger speaker. The BlocklyProp code is shown below and available for download, too.
